Born in Scotland and now based in Windsor, Ontario, artist Elaine Carr’s work examines geographic and topographic narratives of land and water as they interact with human lives. Her focus is on the Northern Hemisphere, with specific interest in the in the Great Lakes Basin and the Arctic. “Many narratives coexist on the same sections of water and land, layering story and time in constant flux”, she notes. “My work attempts to capture moments in time of this ongoing story”.

Her works are held in public and private collections in Canada, the United States, and Europe.
